Harvest 2019

The Harvest Celebrations began with St. Richard’s First School Service on Wednesday.

There were 17 bags of tins and lots of other goods, including fresh fruit and vegetables.
It took 5 volunteers to sort everything

Then on Friday Bengeworth Academy come in for their service. Again a group of volunteers dealt with the donations, delivering most of it to Caring Hands while selecting some to decorate the church.

From Friday morning onwards flowers were added to produce.

The Harvest Service was at 10.30am on Sunday, with more donations made. Diane Bennett, from Caring Hands spoke to us about their work and plans for the future. There is literature at the back of church about their work.

The service was followed by a Bring and Share Lunch enjoyed by those who attended. The sale of produce raised £90 for Mission to Seafarers. There were some donations left but they were also delivered to Caring Hands on Monday morning.
