On Sunday 20th December the church was open for visitors on timed tickets. The combination of sight, sound and scent was much enjoyed.
Our thanks go to all involved in singing, playing, stewarding, decorating the church, stewarding and those who visited us. Thank you also to the childern from St Richard’s First School and Bengeworth Academy for the 165 angels.Beautiful!
Keith and Pat celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary last week. Part of the celebrations was visiting a new bench for them to use in the church garden. Rachel arranged this and gave them a huge surprise. The bench has will be enjoyed by everyone, as well as them, for years to come.
There may be restrictions; face masks may be compulsory, but that does not stop our care and concern for others. More than 40 of us gathered on the second Sunday of Advent. The toys were delivered to Caring Hands on Monday 7th December. They will go out to families with food parcels.
The church building is now open for Private Prayer on Wednesdays and Fridays, from 10 – 11 am.
Services will begin again on Sunday 5th July, with an 8 o’clock Holy Communion and a 10.30 am Parish Eucharist. There will also be a 10 o’clock Holy Communion on Tuesdays. The layout will be different to ensure social distancing. We are looking forward to being able to worship together again.
And today the scaffolds are going up, so that the East Window can be put back in. Now repaired, it will make the building much lighter. Exciting days!
