The day began with an outdoor service and refreshments before welcoming visitors to the fayre. The church looked wonderful with people there to offer a welcome, give out treasure hunt sheets, issue prizes, talk about the church, judge the art competition and serve gallons of tea and coffee. What a wonderful and tiring day!
On Wednesday 21st June a group of family, friends and music fans gathered to listen to the finalists of Evesham Young Musician of the year.
All the competitors had won a category and, in the end a young vocalist and a clarinetist won the junior and senior award.
The Avon Singers provided the opening, pre-interval and final musical entertainment of the evening.
On Sunday 2nd July St. Peter’s will be part of the Port Street International Fayre. You will see this poster, prepared by members of Ourside, handing on the wall outside the church. It looks wonderful and shows what will be happening on that day.
Harvest this year involved more than 1200 people, including the members of Bengeworth Academy and St. Richard’s First School. It was lovely to see so many people in church.

The confirmation service was a happy occasion, beginning with breakfast at 9.30 am and ending with the Bishop of Dudley leading those who had been confirmed around the church, before enjoying refreshments. The highlight of the service may well have been the moment when the candidates reminded the congregation of their baptism, by flicking water over with a branch of rosemary. » Read more
